We offer a comprehensive, on-site, audiometric calibration service utilising the ADACS system. An AML engineer can visit your site and set up the ADACS system in a suitable room (this does not need to be sound proofed - just reasonably quiet). Your equipment can then be calibrated and the ADACS system will print out the certificates of calibration for your records. A typical audiology department takes between one and two days for the work to be completed.
We can calibrate most audiometric equipment on-site including audiometers (hand-held screeners to clinical), tympanometers, hearing instrument test boxes, basic sound level meters and evoked response instruments. Some evoked response and OAE instruments cannot be calibrated on-site as they require a special calibration rig - in these cases we will notify you so that suitable arrangements can be made for a laboratory calibration.
In a similar manner to the laboratory calibration a detailed certificate is provided which tabulates all of the measurements made - both before and after any adjustments. The audiometer parameters measured are: Frequency, Sound Pressure Level, Force Level, Narrow-Band Masking Level and Distortion.
